THE PERSON BEHIND THE IDEA
For more than forty years, I worked as a professional in the health network in Montreal as well as in Montérégie. During my practice, I had the privilege of working with a clientele of varied ages…. from their first days of life to their last moments with us and at all ages of life.
I experienced moments of great joy but also moments of great sadness not only with them but also with their loved ones.
Today, all these moments of life are now part of me. From this, I remember that listening, empathy, a sense of observation and the search for understanding of others are essential to providing good care, taking the right actions and establishing a relationship of trust with the others.
However, succeeding in understanding what a person is trying to tell us through their words, attitude and/or gestures is a great challenge. Naturally, we are all inclined to find our own answers through who we are and this is the trap to avoid. So, I would say that my greatest learning was to understand that I had to see things through their eyes and not with mine.

Then, life led me to become the caregiver of a family member suffering from Alzheimer’s. I accompanied him during his hospitalization in 2018, during which he was told that he would no longer be able to return home until his death in 2023.
As the illness progressed over time, I began to look for ways to occupy him, to distract him, to reassure him, to capture his attention in order to converse with him more easily and also to warm him up (he was always cold).
However, what I was looking for for him was not made in Quebec. Everything I found came from Europe or the United States. I then decided to make him various fabric items that he could handle, use to warm up or even to facilitate hygiene care by providing warmth and security.

Gradually, I said to myself: Why not make these products in Quebec rather than abroad ? Why is it not possible to offer personalized products that would meet specific needs ?
When a person’s memory of time and things fades, we have to learn to communicate differently with them.

THE COMPANY
To do this, I design and manufacture fun activity products in my workshop such as sleeves, blankets, cushions, placemats and other occupational fabric activities. I also offer a personalized tailoring service in order to meet more specific needs from stakeholders.
At all stages of the manufacturing process, I value the importance of the uniqueness of each item made since each item is mainly dedicated to personal use.
So I hope that each of these people who use my products will get as much pleasure from using them as I do from making them !
COMPANY VALUES
Contribute
to well-being
It is important that the choice of a fun object meets the needs, tastes and residual skills of a person so that the proposed activity provides them with comforting moments.
Listen to the need of our customer
As each person is unique, it is essential to listen to their needs in order to offer products that may suit the current situation.
Creativity
and
know-how
Always remain active in designing new products and manufacturing items with a stimulating design, durable and easy to use so that they are a source of comfort on a daily basis. During manufacturing, particular attention is paid to the choice of fabrics (easy maintenance, resistance, colors, etc.) and objects to handle (buttons, laces, clasps, etc.) as well as to everything relating to assembly methods. so that the product once completed is safe to use for the user.
I also take great care to reuse fabric scraps for other projects in order to limit the company’s environmental footprint.
